Every day, children with cancer place their lives and futures into the care of the more than 5,000 physicians, nurses and scientists that constitute the Children's Oncolgoy Group (COG), the world's largest pediatric cancer research organization, hoping they will be cured.
Through public awareness, education and fundraising, CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation supports the Children's Oncology Group, that treats more than 90% of all children with cancer, at more than 235 children's and university hospitals and Cancer Centers in the U.S.
The collaboration of the COG allows children with cancer to remain close to home for their treatment and care. While this rapid sharing of information has led to an overall 78% cure rate, the fact remains - one in five children with cancer dies and more than three out of the five children suffer late term effects.
Research is the key to the cure. With your continued support, we can reach the day when every child with cancer can be guaranteed a cure.
